Our 26-27 Donation Goals
For five years, OTCA's work was paid through a contract with Prosper Portland - that contract ended in June 2025. The work it funded - the events, the storefront activations, the lighting, the advocacy at City Hall - has not.
In fact, we are just getting started. With a new Board, Executive Director, and strategic vision, we are strengthening the coalition of residents, businesses, and property owners to champion the neighborhood's priorities.
OTCA has never had its own revenue. This is the year we build it. We are asking the people who love Old Town and Portland Oregon to fund the city's oldest neighborhood.
Our goal is 500 donors and $100,000 by December 31, 2026.
Old Town is where Portland started. It is also where Portland keeps the things it holds in common: Saturday Market, Lan Su Chinese Garden, Chinatown, Skidmore Fountain, Darcelle's, more of the city's oldest buildings than any other neighborhood.
For years Old Town has been the shorthand for everything people think has gone wrong with this city. Fewer people know that it is also a neighborhood of three thousand residents, a hundred businesses, and an association that shows up to advocate on their behalf.
Most Portlanders have an opinion about Old Town. Very few have ever been given something to do about it. This is what you can do to make a positive change.
Become one of 500
We are looking for 500 Portlanders to fund this neighborhood - not five hundred donors this year and a different five hundred next year, but a standing base of people who keep the Old Town Community Association alive regardless of who is in office or which grant cycle closes.
A monthly gift is the most useful support OTCA receives. It is predictable, which means we can plan past the next grant cycle and commit to programming before the money for it exists.
